What each AP score earns at Skidmore College: 10 exams, credit shown in semester hours. Always confirm with the school before you plan your schedule.

Rules that apply to every exam

Skidmore grants up to 4 credit hours toward graduation for a grade of 4 or 5 on an Advanced Placement test.
Students may earn up to a total of 16 semester hours of credit from any combination of AP, IB, or other examinations.
AP, IB, and other testing program credits may not count toward All-College requirements.
Only six academic departments award AP credit toward the major.
Students should send AP scores or official college transcripts with final grades to the Office of the Registrar.
