Augustana University AP credit

What each AP score earns at Augustana University for 2026-27: 34 exams, credit shown in semester hours. Always confirm with the school before you plan your schedule.

Rules that apply to every exam

A maximum of 24 credits of combined testing credit (AP, IB, A-Level) may be applied toward the degree.
Students with more than 24 testing credits must declare up to 24 credits with the Office of the Registrar no later than their first term of enrollment.
Once declared, testing credit is an irreversible decision and cannot be changed.
Credit will not be awarded from a high school or college transcript; official scores must be sent directly from College Board to Augustana.
Academic departments determine which scores result in credit.
History majors are limited to 8 credits of AP work in any combination toward the History major or minor.
