Rules that apply to every exam

Grades are not given for credit earned by examination, nor are the credits figured in the Taylor grade point average.
Up to 30 eligible credits earned through AP and/or CLEP examinations will be entered on the transcript after the official score report is received and the student has matriculated.
Students not desiring credit must request that the credit be waived.
Credits earned may be used to satisfy foundational core, major/minor/concentration requirements or elective credit.
Approved credits may be used to meet prerequisites for advanced courses.
Unsuccessful attempts to earn credit by examination will not be recorded.
Students must request that a copy of the AP grade report be sent to Taylor University (1802).
A score of 4 on AP French, Spanish or Chinese meets the BA language proficiency requirement and may earn credit for 201 and 202; these exams must be taken before enrollment at Taylor.
A score of 4 on AP German, Italian, Latin or Japanese meets the BA language proficiency requirement but earns no credit; these exams must be taken before enrollment.
Students with a 4 or 5 on AP Chemistry may choose how credit is applied and must notify the Registrar's Office of their preferred option.
A 4 or higher on AP English Language and a 5 on AP English Literature earns both ENG 110 and ENG 299.
