Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University AP credit

What each AP score earns at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University: 39 exams, credit shown in semester hours. Always confirm with the school before you plan your schedule.

Rules that apply to every exam

AP credit is accepted when scores meet the Articulation Coordinating Committee Credit-By-Exam Equivalencies adopted by the Board of Governors.
FAMU awards credit for specific courses where competency is shown by AP scores, unless the award duplicates credit already awarded.
Credits earned on similar courses taken at FAMU or through other examinations such as CLEP, IB, DSST, or Excelsior may not be accepted or duplicated with AP credit.
A maximum of 45 semester hours of credit-by-examination may be transferred, across all credit-by-exam programs combined.
Students may be exempt from courses when competency is demonstrated through examination credit.
