Utah State University AP credit

What each AP score earns at Utah State University: 37 exams, credit shown in credits. Always confirm with the school before you plan your schedule.

Rules that apply to every exam

Scores of 0, 1, or 2 earn no USU credit; scores of 3, 4, or 5 may earn 3 to 10 credits.
If a student has credit for coursework equivalent to an AP exam subject, that course's credits are deducted from the exam credit awarded.
Students must submit AP scores to the Admissions Office, Taggart Student Center 102, so credits post to transcripts.
Transfer students with less than an associate degree have AP credit posted elsewhere reevaluated under USU's standard.
Other institutions may have AP policies that differ from USU's.
If both AP Spanish Language and AP Spanish Literature exams are taken, elective credit may be awarded for one exam.
No lab credit is awarded for AP Biology and AP Chemistry exams.
When ENGL/WRTG 1010 credit is not earned through AP, IB, or concurrent enrollment, USHE institutions waive it and require one additional writing intensive course.
