What each AP score earns at Centre College: 28 exams, credit shown in credits. Always confirm with the school before you plan your schedule.

Rules that apply to every exam

Maximum of 24 hours of pre-matriculation credit from all sources for first-year students.
No credit for any course or examination completed before the start of junior year of high school.
Credit is not granted for CLEP exam scores.
Credit is not granted for the AP English Language and Composition exam or the human geography exam.
AP credit is lost if the student takes the equivalent course at Centre.
Only one general education requirement per exploration area may be fulfilled through AP credit.
Credit is not given for both World History and European History.
Students must complete at least one general education course in residence in social studies, science, and fundamental questions.
